This website is provided as a voluntary service by A.A. members and the Website Committee of Worcester Area Intergroup, Inc. as a supplementary means of  "carrying the message" to the alcoholic in recovery and to those who have a drinking problem and have a "desire to stop drinking", which is our primary purpose.
   
   
3. Anonymity is a chief cornerstone in the foundation of our Fellowship and is insurance that help will be there for the next alcoholic who needs us.  Anonymity assures our members that their recovery will be private. Anonymity is further addressed in the Eleventh and Twelfth Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous.  As noted in the A.A. Guidelines for Public Information: "The 12 Traditions were accepted as guides for the Fellowship of A.A. by those in attendance at the first International Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, in July of 1950.  They continue to be even more vital in providing the answers to A.A.'s public information service today."
   
   
4. In the spirit of Anonymity, we respectfully request that any information contained on our website not be published or reprinted without the express, written consent of the Steering  Committee of Worcester Area Intergroup, Inc.  We thank you for your cooperation.
